A dental implant is a safe and easy procedure for replacing missing teeth.  Made entirely of titanium, a dental implant is the long-term solution.  The dental implant procedure is typically made up of two parts.  In the first step your implant specialist will place the implant with an abutment and a temporary tooth, making sure you walk away with a complete smile.  The second step occurs after the implant has had time to heal; a cosmetic specialist will then remove both the temporary tooth and abutment and replace it with a post and crown (your new tooth!).  Both the temporary tooth and the permanent crown will match the same shade as your teeth. Most patients do not experience any disruption to their daily life.
